Hi there! I’m Ilyssa from Domestic Heights
I’m an engineer turned crafter here to help you navigate all this silly technology involved in cutting crafts.
I’ve designed thousands of cutting machine projects by now.
Hey, I totally get it, you’re not trying to get your PhD in graphics design. You just want to change the bow on Minnie Mouse ever so slightly.
This isn’t some super pricey eCourse where you have to watch a Game of Thrones long series of videos to learn how to make a circle.
These are just simple ebooks to get you started, teach you the basics, and get you on your way to making all those custom t-shirts for your next Disneyland trip.

Inkscape is the only FREE graphics editing software tool that:
Allows you to convert bitmap image (regular JPEG and PNGs) into cut files (SVGs)
Make changes to existing SVGs
Design SVG from scratch
Adobe Illustrator is the most comprehensive graphics editing software available in market today:
Full suite of conversion capability to turn any image into an SVG cut file
Intuitive user friendly navigation
Powerful design features to scale your work easily
Both Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator are full graphics editing software tools. They were designed to satisfy all graphics designing needs.
Don’t get overwhelmed by complicated software!
I’ve pared it down to the essentials, all the basics you need to make cutting craft designs.
I’ve also included many examples and practice modules so you can practice the basics.
Sure, you can get some of this for free watching Youtube videos but do you really want to waste 20 minutes just learning how to resize some text?
What about all those unique features for cutting crafts like “Attach” and “Group” in Cricut Designs Space, how do these SVGs translate?
Save yourself the headache and get this easy-to-use image-filled step-by-step guide to graphics designing for cutting crafts.

If you decided after giving it an honest effort that this is all just too much, just send me a note and I’ll give you a full refund. I just ask you send a short note on why it was all too confusing.
I am confident in the tutorials in this e-books but I completely understand designing your own templates may not be for everyone. I just ask you give it a try.

What if I have no drawing skills?
The great thing about vector designs is you never have to start from scratch! Take any image you have and turn it into an SVG as a starting point and make your edits from there!
Or maybe you want to customize something you bought? I can’t count how many times I only have 1 sheet of cardstock left in a particular color but the design won’t allow me to fit it onto my materials.
You can also use your hand drawn items of written text as a starting point and use the mouse and editing tools to make corrections. The possibilities are endless.
Can I really learn how to use these complicated tools?
If you can use your cutting machine, then you can use Inkscape or Illustrator. I break it down into incremental image filled tutorials so you can follow along step by step. I’ve also included practice files to put into action what you’ve learned.
How long will it take me to get through this course?
This is a self paced ebook. Fit it into your schedule as you have time. Go at a pace comfortable for you.
All future updates to this ebook are included for free with this purchase.
What if I just can’t figure it out?
I believe anyone can do learn Inkscape or Illustrator. 100% money back guaranteed.
If you’ve given it an honest effort, send me a screenshot of your work and I’ll give you a full refund. I kindly request you’ve at least downloaded the software and made an effort to get started.
What software is needed?
You will need a computer to run either graphics editing software tools. Inkscape is a free graphics editing software option available at https://inkscape.org
