This is a tutorial for easy no-sew felt orchids that are perfect for home decor and other DIY craft projects.
I’ve never been able to keep a real-life orchid alive for long. Even the few times I actually made effort, it lasted maybe like a couple of weeks and then completely just disintegrated.
Maybe I’ll have better luck with these felt orchids. I hope they are as easy to keep alive as they were to make.

Materials for Felt Orchids
Felt – If you are making this with a cutting machine, I would recommend a stiffer felt if you are trying to cut this with a blade. If you have a Cricut Maker can use the rotary blade, then any felt works.
Glue – I like to use a glue gun for this project
Cutting Machine – I use a Cricut. Check out my recommendations for Cricut machines and accessories for beginners for more info.
Template – This felt orchid template is available for free in both SVG and printable formats in my resource library.
How to make felt orchids
Step 1: Cutout the templates
Step 2: Pinch and glue the petals
Starting with the 3 petal layers, add a tiny dab of glue at the base of each petal. Pinch and hold until the glue is dry.
Step 3: Glue all the layers on top of each other
Stack all the layers together and glue in between.
