Lately, I have been making Cricut leather projects to spruce up my accessories. Leather is such a fun, trendy material that works for any decor and fashion style. Luckily, most craft stores have plenty of patterns and styles to choose from. This way, you can make earrings, wallets, and key chains to match anyone’s fashion style. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your own accessories or give your friends a fun, handmade gift, DIY Cricut leather projects are a fun craft for any occasion.
Using my Cricut Maker and Knife Blade, I have been able to cut through leather much easier as well. With smooth edges and vibrant patterns, your friends are sure to be impressed when you tell them you made these accessories. In this post, I’ll go through several DIY Cricut leather projects you can make at home.
Basic Cricut Leather Earrings
First, I love these basic Cricut leather earrings for their elegantly simple designs. By using faux silver and gold metallic leather, I was able to make beautiful earrings that look like they’re made of metal. With the lightweight material, even the larger teardrop leather earrings don’t pull down on my ears.

3D Leather Earrings
Next, I made several 3-D leather earring designs. For these accessories, I experimented with a few different materials. On one pair, I decided to recycle a brown purse that had a very similar texture to real leather. I found the leather to be stiffer and easier to work with.
On the other sets of earrings, I used faux metallic leather and faux pink leather. Overall, I think the DIY metallic leather earrings came out the best. However, the material wasn’t as easy to work with.
Cricut Leather Wallet
I also made three different Cricut leather wallet templates. I love these handmade craft for their practicality. If you size the wallet about 3 to 4 inches wide, it can easily fit cards, cash, and other small items. This makes a great gift card holder as well if you’re looking to give it to friends or family.
Even if you don’t have a Cricut cutting machine, these DIY leather wallet SVG templates are simple enough to use that you can cut them by hand!
Cricut Leather Tassels
In addition, I created these DIY tassel earrings to dress up any occasion. With this project, you can easily customize the size you want your tassels to be. All you have to do is adjust the size in the Cricut design space. Since the template is fairly simple, using slits to create the tassel effect, you could easily do this by hand as well.
Leather Photo Keychain
Next, I made this personalized leather photo keychain with my Cricut cutting machine. For this DIY leather craft project, you can print the picture in a number of different ways.
I decided to print mine on a fabric iron-on material. You could also print it on photo paper from your local print shop. Since it opens like a locket, this is perfect to give a heartfelt, handmade gift for someone special in your life.
Feather Earrings
DIY leather feather earrings are a major fashion accessory trend. Undoubtedly, your friends and family are sure to be impressed when you show them your handmade craft jewelry. The fringe design is one of my favorites for the small gold chain embellishment on the top.
Butterfly Bows
With my free butterfly bow SVGs, you can also make creative DIY hair bows. My kids love to wear these as fun hair clips. Of course, you can also use them as birthday and wedding decor.
Jewelry Tray
I’ve also made this DIY leather jewelry tray. I think this is perfect to hold all of your leather earrings and accessories. Since these Cricut craft projects are so easy customize, you can make this tray match your entire leather jewelry set. All you have to do is choose a complimentary pattern!
Lip Balm Keychain
Lastly, I made this leather lip balm holder for an easy way to hold my chap stick on the go. I’ve found this to be a great way to keep my lip balm easily accessible. Plus, I can save time searching through my bag to find my chap stick! Of course, you can also put lipstick or a small makeup product in here as well.
If you’re looking to try out a new craft, DIY Cricut leather projects are a fun, creative project you can make. Since so many of these leather accessories are customizable, I love giving them as gifts for my friends and family.
