I love finding new creative ways to gift wine because it comes in handy on so many occasions from Christmas and holiday events to housewarmings so adding a special touch on a thank you gift.
Sure you can always just buy a wine gift bag but sometimes I just don’t have time to go get one.
Plus, when you put in the extra effort to wrap the bottle so nicely, it almost doesn’t matter the value of the wine on the inside!
Wine bottle gift wrapping ideas
I made this for a friend’s dinner party mostly because I didn’t have any nice wine around so I thought I’d make an average bottle extra special by adding some paper flowers.
I had some leftover tissue from a gift someone gave me along with the ribbon. If you are interested in these paper flowers, check out my free templates and tutorials for a rolled paper rose and 5 petal layered flower.

Wine not add a personalized touch with these customized wine tags?
I made these tags with my Cricut cutting machine but these are super easy to make with just a pair of scissors or Exacto knife.
These printable and SVG templates are available for free in my resource library. See below for access.
If you do have a Cricut machine and are interested in doing faux calligraphy as I did in the photo, check out my faux hand lettering with the Cricut tutorial.
Ideas for wrapping wine bottles
I saw this on Pinterest the other day and thought it would be the perfect project for my Cricut.
This can be done with just copy paper.
You basically just cut a series of strips (that are still attached) to one corner of the paper.
Then curl the strips with a rigid edge inward.
Then just wrap and tape to the bottle!
